Definitely one of the best trekking places we went during our Japan trip. There are a total of 3 waterfalls (No. 1 to 3) to visit and parking was free near the entrance (need to cross a bridge first). Optional Y100 for conservation and they provide a helmet in case of falling rocks or branches. Waterfalls were amazing (but No. 1 was under maintenance during our visit). Trail was easy, takes around ~20 min to get to the first waterfall (No. 3) and No. 2 was close behind. However, some portions of the trail required crossing narrow ledges and wooden planks (No railings), so be careful if you didn't buy insurance. Taking pictures at the waterfall is a must.

My new favorite place to be! Utterly breathtaking! Highly recommend coming here. Do all the trails. Staff was more very helpful at the gift shop, and we really appreciate him. Wish we got his name, because despite the language barrier he kept trying and succeeded. He really cared about our well being. :)

Beautiful, verdant forest area with a number of waterfalls. It's a pretty easy walk and makes for a good day trip from Hirosaki. The autumn foliage was pretty good when I went in October.
