East Rokko Observatory is quite a lovely sight. It can get very cold up there during the later months but there is a chill room where you can sit down and relax to enjoy the view. It is a ticketed entrance and you will pay the fee on exit at the gate but it is quite low, under 500¥ when I visited.

A nice lookout, with an expansive overlook over Osaka and Kobe. Unfortunately they charge a toll to get up there, and you don’t have much privacy from others who insist on talking the entire time.

I was taken aback by the view - the perfect panoramic sight. Allows you to see very far and wide. There are 100¥ binoculars to use. The ticket agent was very friendly and spoke some English.. There are 2 buildings with Rokkoyama fact tidbits. 500¥ for observatory entry. I'd call it more a lookout or viewpoint but worth the ticket price to see. There are chairs to sit and...

I had not been there but it is a famous place and I think it is a wonderful observatory place but be careful for a cyclists because what I experienced is that bikes and bicycles are not allowed in the weekends because there are gates and it may cost money as well.
