Otani Memorial Art Museum, Nishinomiya — Attraction in Nishinomiya

A beautiful museum with free parking and staff on site to guide you where to park.

There is even a beautiful japanese style garden behind the museum that is free to visit. I already highly recommend visiting just for that.

My only complaint is that the staff standing in the exhibits was constantly following us around and staring at us, as if we are extremely suspicious (it was just me and my wife on a date), which was...

The contents of the museum changes (1000 yen) and can include some lovely art, but the outside garden (free) is just as beautiful. Just walk around the outside of the building...

2024/2/13(火曜日) 美術館巡り 場所は阪神香炉園駅からぼちぼち歩いて10分ぐらいの所にあります。 車ですと美術館の前に駐車場が有ります。

美術館は地元の企業家のお屋敷や美術品を市に寄贈して出来たそうです。玄関を入るとお庭が広がって目に入ってきます。その庭がとても綺麗で素晴らしいです。

「日本画ことはじめ」を見てきました。 幕末から昭和までの日本を代表する有名な画家の日本画を拝見する事が出来て良かったです。 どれをとっても素晴らしい物ばかりです。 展示の規模も丁度良かったです。あまり多過ぎると頭がパンパンになって疲れる事もなかったです。

また美術館を囲むように回遊式の庭園を見て歩く事がが出来ます。庭も手入れが行き届き、丁度この時は梅が見頃になっていました。特に蝋梅が園内に咲きほこりいい香りを放っていました。

美しい日本画を眺めているとなぜか仏像を拝見しているのと同じ気持ちになり心が浄化された様に感じました。お庭の美しさと...
