高野山真言宗のお寺です。北陸三十三観音霊場の第32番とラスト一つ前の札所であります。御本尊は千手観音菩薩。聖観音菩薩･馬頭観音菩薩とともに県の重要文化財に指定されています。当時この地を巡錫中だった行基菩薩が彫ったとされていますが、現存している3体の観音像は鎌倉初期の頃の作だといいます。どゆこと？ 雪が完全に溶けきっていない2月下旬に訪れたため、境内の全容は分からなかった。また、本堂の正面や入口には幕が張られていたので本来の姿は見られなかった。松尾芭蕉の句碑もあったそうだが…？ クルマを停めれそうな場所が無かったので、バーデン明日の向かいの公園に停め、歩いてきた。雪が溶けたらもう一度来...
