Small peaceful area which draws few visitors. There are 2 visible levels of the falls. When we went there in April, the falls did not have a lot of water. That might change in the rainy season. Furthermore there is a basin, a torii as entrance to the site and a small building with tiled roof which probably serves religious purposes. The site is said to be of spiritual meaning for the locals. If you are in the area, for example visiting Hiji Falls, it is worth a detour. Otherwise skip it. It is accessible by car on a small road leading right up to the falls with an unpaved tiny parking lot. It wasn't possible to go further up the hill to see more of the falls but there might be an access which is known to insiders. Open round the clock. No entrance fee.

went during the typhoon because we are insane (please don’t do this ever it is very dangerous) it’s not much of a popular attraction to go to so there isn’t like an entire area/building/park etc dedicated to the waterfall. there is a small little shrine there that we put some 1 yen coins into. the waterfall is quite small but still a sacred beauty if you look at it that way. not all beautiful things need to be magnificently big. the road to the parking area was blocked off by a tree that fell so we ended up having to park nearby someone’s house and walking to the waterfall on foot in severe rain and winds. It did rain very hard in the area, but i definitely felt a bit safer from the winds. overall. nice little serene quiet place. small but cute.

Peaceful place, this area, it was a good idea to check it out. It’s not as impressive as the other nearby falls, in fact, its a prayer site. Jumping in and taking a dip wouldn’t be a good idea at this one. Most people who do visit this site use it as a back drop for photography. Most of the falls was hard to capture since it twists between rocks and trees, so the cascade at the bottom was all I could take pictures of besides the pool and prayer areas. The stream itself is very small, so I didnt even take any shots of it either.
