Very nice circuit we visit the circuit during our stay at the Fuji speedway hotel:
From the moment we arrived, the Fuji Speedway Hotel gave us an unforgettable experience
blending luxury with the thrill of motorsports. Our circuit view room with a balcony was incredible. watching race cars speed down the straight and take the final corners right from our balcony was worth every penny and something we’ll never forget.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Waking up the morning with the racing engine sounds from the circuit it’s a good way to start the day.
The onsen was the perfect way to relax after an exciting day, and the professional race simulator (book this in advance!) was fun .
The small but well curated racing museum had some really cool exhibits. You can buy a ticket with a reduced price if you book a stay in the hotel.
if you come by car you get a parking pass that allows you to park anywhere on the circuit grounds
The only hiccup in our otherwise flawless stay came from our own booking mistake for the circuit experience. We would like to drive the track in a Toyota Supra or similar sports car, but accidentally selected the "private vehicle" option when reserving. Since we were using a rental car (which isn't permitted on track), we only realized the error when it was too late to book one of the circuit's cars. they were already fully reserved. A valuable lesson for next time: always double-check your reservation details!
For any motorsport fan, this hotel is pure heaven. The combination of breathtaking track views, and great facilities, and genuinely warm service makes it a one of a...
Read moreThe race course is great, but that’s about it! There is nothing around the premise. Not even a convenient store. If you like to use the tracks / watch a race while camping with family, the Fuji speedway is fantastic. It is amazing to have Mt. Fuji in the background of the race course.
We visited to watch the Super GT race and experienced rather poor weather condition. Unless you have access to the VIP lounge / special seats, it can be quite miserable during poor weather condition. The vending machines also ran out of hot drinks during the race and the lines for food was unbelievably long. Do come prepared with rain gear, warm clothing and food. It also took us 2 hours to get out of the parking lot after the race, which was ridiculous. Unless you are really hardcore into racing, Suzuka is so much more pleasant. Only recommend for people who want to...
Read moreI booked a circuit drive (really, a parade lap, you don't go fast) round Fuji as I was staying at the circuit hotel. It's a really impressive facility.
The track itself is probably too short and simple for something like F1 these days even though it's got an FIA grade 1 rating. Having said that, it certainly has some complex areas and I'm not surprised WEC does endurance races here.
When I visited, a pair of Super Formula cars were testing all day, and had the track to themselves for most of the day. This would not be possible at places in Europe such as Silverstone as the costs and noise restrictions would be prohibitive, but in Japan it...
