Saimura Gankake Park — Attraction in Sai

This spot is a great base of operations for the west coast of the Mutsu area. Hotokeguara is 35 minutes, Oma is 45 minutes and the monkey preserve is only 90 minutes from this spot. The cabins were spacious and had ample wood for the heater. The kitchen area was more than enougj to prepare food for the family. My kids loved running around in the central grassy area and there are two short hikes down the cliff to a hidden alcove of coastline. In the off season, the cottages are affordable and gorgeous. You can't beat this location for views and quiet! Manager is friendly and very helpful. No English, but not much is needed if you have a smart phone to help you.

The cottages have kitchens, so don't forget to buy ingredients in town on your way in!

The staff was super friendly. They did not speak English but were happy to use Google translate to communicate. Great views, two great beaches in walking distance, two hikes up to the top of rock formations make this an awesome place. We camped in an RV and they let us hook up to electricity $20 a night.
