Fist time visitor after more than 10 years of asking my wife. We live outside of Japan, and our son, aged 7 years, is getting into soccer, so we finally got to go.

It was raining heavily on the day, so getting to the stadium was frustrating. Being first-time visitors to the stadium, we weren't sure what to expect and had thought it was close to other facilities such as shops and cafes. The transportation to and from the stadium is very unlike Japan's usual amazing transport infrastructure. I hope the stadium organizers could work with the council more on that aspect.

Alas, my family and I had a great time and a very interesting match between FC Tokyo and the Urawa Reds.

The food available, the cleanliness, and the arrangement of the stadium are all great. If only there was more shelter from rain in the family-friendly area.

The energy and the heart of the soccer fans are amazing. The Urawa Reds supporters are truly inspiring, even more so the FC Tokyo fans won the most spirited of the day.

Urawa Reds came out on top 3:2 on the day after several goals...

Awesome stadium! Me and my brother watched Japan vs Saudi Arabia in a FIFA qualifier match. They let you bring beers in if if you pour it into their cups and the drinks inside don't cost much anyways. Bathrooms were good and never had that long a wait. The stadium is huge and the people were all very nice and helpful!

I didn't realize though that when getting tickets for behind the goal all the seating is open seating. You don't have an actual seat you just bran what you can. If I had known that we would have gotten to the stadium earlier. We were walking around the town thinking we had specific seats lol but hey no biggie just get their earlier if you want a...

Staff at the stadium were great and very patient with my limited Japanese. (Aus vs Jap football match) Stadium entry was well organised and signed. Walk from the station is over a kilometre which may be a problem for some people. If you aren’t willing to wait an hour in very crowded conditions to get a return train I recommend leaving early or having an alternative return option. Food available was awful. Deep fried chips had been chilled before serving and the chicken skewers were also cold/room temp. This is my third trip to Japan and this is the only bad food experience I have had.

In today’s match, while I was taking pictures of players warming up on the pitch, one supporter approached me with aggressive behavior and told me that the cameras are not allowed here. I don’t understand why we are not allowed to take photos inside football stadium. Personally, I would say that please be careful while attending the home supporters’ stand; not all people welcome us foreigners.
