Sakai City is known for steel and industrial manufacturing, and the upstairs Knife museum pays homage to it. Downstairs are two shops. The first is a knife store, where you can select your knives and get your family name engraved, and a Sakai city gift shop with many local products. There is a dog run but it is just fenced in sand with no shade. I thank Sakai for it, but think they could try a little harder. There is an area where BBQs are permitted and a wide grass area which is a nice place for walking the dog....
