A must-visit if you are a Haikyuu fan!!! The place is like a Haikyuu disneyland. The guided tour usually is open for sign up 1-2 month prior. And they have translators. If you missed the sign up, the stadium is still worth a visit coz they have various Haikyuu spots/ items on permanent display. The collection of Haikyuu goods the staff put on display for the tour are just incredible as well. They are all soooo friendly and soooooo enthusiastic. They would tell you which angle exactly the comic / anime was based on. A big thanks to all of them!!! Just wonderful dream-like two hours I spent there!

Like many fans, I also visited this arena because of Haikyuu! You will find large picture of Hinata and Kagayama with a desciption as Sendai travel representative on the pic. After entering gate, you can find original drawing and signature of the Haikyuu writer and stage players. They sell limited edition towel. You will have to buy ticket at vending machine and exchange it with staffs to get towel. I was too late to book Haikyuu tour guide but you can walk around and feel the scene. There are signs that mention characters's height around the arena. Haikyuu fans must be enjoyed!

The free tour is a must for any haikyuu fan, and a huge kudos to the enthusiasm of the staff/volunteers!!! I signed up for the tour last minute and they were so kind to accommodate me. The attention to detail was incredible and they really did everything to help us immerse in the scenes from the manga/anime. Like spraying salonpas, making cutouts of the characters, and acting as the characters themselves. SUPER FUN and I really felt the warmth and enthusiasm of Sendai's residents. One of my favourite memories!!! Thank you so much!!!!!

One of the worst experiences in Japan—rude staff completely ruined the visit.

A very unpleasant experience. Staff were extremely unfriendly to foreigners.

It was my first visit, and I was happy to see scenery related to the work, but there was no guidance at all. I unknowingly walked to the second floor and was harshly yelled at and forced downstairs. Even after I apologized and said I would leave, the staff kept shouting, without caring if I understood Japanese.

If certain areas are off-limits, put up clear signs or guidance. Tourists are not here to break rules on purpose. A polite explanation would have been enough, but yelling at visitors is unacceptable.

I’ve traveled to Japan for many years, but this was one of the worst experiences. The staff left me with a terrible impression of this place. I will never...
