【七戸町唯一の全国レベルの観光資源】 今は無き南部縦貫鉄道営業時から親しんだ七戸駅を久しぶりに訪問。 野辺地駅から十鉄バスを利用すると、往時の駅名がいくつもバス停の名前に残っておりしみじみと在りし日の面影を堪能できます。 不定期に撮影会やレールバスを体験できるイベントが開催されており、夕暮れ撮影会に訪問。 イベント開催時には、構内だけではありますが、走行するレールバスやディーゼルカー、ディーゼル機関車などが倉から出されて青空の下にある様を体験することができます。 ほとんど盛り土だけのホーム、腕木式信号機、旧式自動車のようなレールバスの運転席、など簡素ですがあたたかみのある施設に心が癒されます。 これらがかつて、ニンニク畑や牧場、防雪林などこの地域の美しい風景の中にあったことを思うと、今は失われた風景　を感じ取ることができるかもしれません。
