Ebitokanino (Shrimp & Crab) Aquarium — Attraction in Susami

My son is quite a marine geek and we visited many aquariums over the past years. This aquarium is a small but they had a wide range of crustaceans. Other than viewing, there are also interactive activities for the kids. You can feed the turtles and ‘fish’ for hermit crabs. There is a touching station with giant crabs (the pinchers are all bind), baby sharks, horseshoe crab etc. The highlight for my son was the octopus which he had been searching for in many aquariums including the Osaka aquarium which we visited prior to this. This location is worth a stop and especially with kids. There is a huge array of rare crustaceans on display and highly engaging for the kids to feed the huge turtles, touch the Japanese spider crabs, small sharks, lobsters, horseshoe crab and some sort of sea louses.
