The kids ages 3-6 and adults enjoyed the amusement park. When we went the park was mostly empty so it was nice to let the kids run around freely. The only restaurant opened was the ultraman food court. They mostly had noodles and on a hot day that's not what we wanted to eat. The fried rice was good though. The giant ferris wheel provided excellent views. All the rides were so much fun. We bought the day pass which means you don't have to pay for each ride in addition to the entrance fee. It would've been more practical if we got there earlier but the relaxed atmosphere was worth it. Unfortunately no English map. Gotta check the schedule too because sometimes they close the rides periodically...
Read moreTheme park for young kids. This place is maintained very poorly and does not justify the price. Most rides seem to be from the 80's or even late 70's with out any renewal. Gardening and beauty very basic and not appealing. We paid a full ticket only to find that some of the rides are not even open and others are under repair. There was no mentioning of this when we purchased the tickets. Many of the rides are not allowed for kids under 3 or 4 , not even on an adults lap. I could not accompany my 5 year old and leave the little one behind and I wasn't allowed on with the little one, so I was stuck. Take this into consideration if you attend with only one adult. Over all review - don't spend...
Read moreKawaii and a bit kitschy, Grinpa was a fun visit. Located at the bottom of Mt. Fuji, on a clear day the views alone are worth admission. Like many Japanese amusement parks, one can pay just an admission fee and then pay a la carte for rides/experiences or buy a pass to do everything. On a weekday with preschool and younger, admission only is the way to go. The Sylvanian Family village is fun for littles and the scattered critters throughout the park are adorable. There is an indoor play place that is roomy with lots to do for under 5. The upper amusement level of the park has fair/carnival rides as well as obstacle course...
