No.85 Yakuri Temple — Attraction in Takamatsu

Pretty nice temple. A lot of the temples in the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage are hard to access by transit. This one wasn’t so bad. We took a bus there from Takamatsu and, on the way, we stopped for udon at Udon Honjin Yamadaya (which I highly recommend). Then we caught the cable car up to the shrine. If you are a foreigner, be sure to bring your passport with you as the cost of the ticket is half price with it. Also, if you are a goshuin fan, they make a special goshuin book for the 88 temple pilgrimage that is very beautiful. It has a line drawing of each temple on the page opposite your goshuin stamp. It was really a relaxing experience. The way up with the cable car was fun and fast. But to walk up to the cable car station you should consider about 20min from the closest station.
