Absolutely stunning views, especially with the fall color. admission is cheap at 200 yen and a free shuttle bus will get you there and back from hida-kokufu station. Well maintained entrance makes for easy access. Trail is easy to follow, but can be slippery, isn't too steep, but has a few flights of stairs.

A true hidden gem! My 4 years old can go up to level 9 (out of 13 level). The trail is challenging enough to be fun for everyone 4-60 years old. Ticket cost 200 yen for adults and 100 yen for kids. Plenty of parking space.

6月土曜日に行きました。 「君の名は」の聖地の１つということもあり、若い人も大勢いて賑やか。 最初は石畳が続きますが、途中から階段地獄がスタートしますが、滝一つ一つじっくり観賞していればそれほど苦にはならなかったと思います。 頂上付近は緩やかに戻ります。 子供連れの家族も結構登ってます。 100選に選ばれてるだけあり、ゴミもなく歩道も整備されてマイナスイオンに溢れてます。 喫煙者にも有り難く出発地点にスペースがあります。 そこで吸い溜めしときましょう。 挨拶したら挨拶が返ってくる。 道を譲れば「ありがとう」と言ってくれる、 そんな気持ちのいい場所でした。 国府駅から歩いて来ましたが、四十八滝橋から 歩道が少ないので歩きには向いてないかも。 ですが、運が良ければ私のようにカモシカに出会えるかも知れません。 警戒心が薄いので間近で写真撮れますよ。

Hidden gem in Hida! Great hike up the walking course to take in the 13 different waterfalls here. At leisurely pace, it will take you about 1 hour to go up and get back down to the base. There is a free shuttle bus that goes from here to the Shibuki no Yu onsen at the bottom and all the way Hida Kofuku station. Check out the timing from the website. Wonderful experience and with waterfalls accompanying the hike. Comfortable footwear recommended as the path can be quite uneven, with quite a lot of stairs(rocky) to conquer. It’s so soothing to be in the nature. After the descent, we went into the visitor center to rest, there is free tea available. The fal are beautiful and it's well worth the hike to the top. The hike isn't difficult and can easily be done in 40 minutes. There's a cafe, a toilet and free oarking at the entrance.
