I recently visited Lake Mashu and was lucky enough to see it without any fog. The view was absolutely stunning! And I even spotted a couple of ezo deers on the slope. For anyone planning to visit, be sure to bring sunglasses during sunny days to protect your eyes and dress warmly as it can be very windy. Plenty of car parking spaces are available.

I was told that the island in the middle literally is a column stretching down to the lake floor. It would be awesome if someone actually been down there and took a photo.
