Has been my favourite place to come to and photograph the rice terraces. The sunrise here is absolutely magical.

However I must say that I am absolutely appalled by how loud and unmannered many japanese are. It's understandable that children are yet to learn to control their voice, but a grown person should be fully capable of doing so. Is it really necessary to shout the obvious to each other over and over disrupting the peaceful moments?

Getting in front of the your camera with blatant disregard and then prancing about is seriously obnoxious. Doesn't matter if you token apologise and slightly bow - it doesn't make you well mannered, rather quite the opposite.

I see many reviewes of landmarks always mentioning foreigners being loud, however it's japanese who has bad manners themselves in the first...

Need to be here at sunrise during the right season to get the best misty view that you see on posters. It is still a cool viewpoint for the rice terrace but honestly not much else is nearby.

Recommend combining this visit with the Kiyotsu Gorge and Bijin forest...
