御岳神社から降りてきてすぐの場所にあります。御岳山は全体的に樹木が豊富なため眺望が限定的ですが、長尾平あたりの尾根は広く開けて、また樹木の手入れがなされているため眺望がとても良いです。広い尾根が開けた園地になっている他、茶屋、展望台、トイレがあり、遠足や家族ハイキングには最適な弁当場所です。
