Mitsugama falls (three-pool falls) — Attraction in Tokyo

There's a gate on the road up to the spot but you can simply open then close behind you. No real parking just a small area at the end where you can turn around that people park along side the road. This is a beautiful place. The falls are gorgeous as well as the road following a stream leading to the falls trailhead. Intermediate hiking difficulty. 7月24日、海沢三滝を見るために訪れました｡ 朝7時15分頃、立て札の前に到着｡ 駐車場は無く立て札の前の部分の道幅が広くなっていたので道路の路肩に止めました｡ 同着で２台の車が来ていました。 落石でもあったのでしょうか？ 理由は分かりませんが案内の立て看板には海沢三滝のうち三ッ釜の滝、ねじれ滝までは行けるけど大滝には行けないとの記載がありました。 今回ハイキング程度の軽装でもし三ッ釜の滝までいければいいかな？程度の思いでしたので気にせずに準備をして道を進みました｡ ごつごつした石と樹木の地表に這った根で凸凹してとても歩きにくいです。 川沿いの道に入るとこれが東京都？！ 木々が生い茂り、鮮やかな緑色の苔が生え豊かに流れる川の水はとても澄んで奇麗でした。 １０分ほど進んだでしょうか？ 三ッ釜の滝に到着しました。 三段になっていてそれぞれに滝つぼが形成されています。 その様子が名前の由来かもしれません。 滝の右脇にはネジレノ滝方面に進む道に鉄の梯子がかけられていて登ると三段の滝を上から眺めることが出来ます｡ 今回ネジレノ滝までは行きたかったのですが思ったより歩きにくく連れの足腰が心配で今回はここで引き返すことにしました。 まだ、日が昇って間もないこともありましたが涼しくてマイナスイオンたっぷりの環境に身を置いてリフレッ...
