大きく盛り上がった土饅頭が生々しいですが、昔に比べて綺麗にリニューアルされ、怖い所ではありませんでした。(わたし的には、リニューアルされる前の塚の方が好きです) でも、ここに桶狭間の戦いの戦死者(今川軍)2,500人が眠っていることを考えると悲しい気持ちがします。説明板によると、一説には、信長さんがここに今川軍の死骸を葬らせたと言うことです。 合戦は、3時間ほどで終わリましたが、桶狭間から、ここまで結構離れていますので、主君を討たれた今川軍が散り散りに逃げ、遺体が広範囲に残されたようです。
