Of all of the cabins we have visited in northern Japan this is the most exceptional. Though quaint and not lavish, the service and amenities were superior. The professional services we experienced from check in to check out were memorable. The room cleaning service was unique as they went out of their way to care in a personal manner for our cabin. And, the entire cabin was remarkably clean.
The onsen is hot...hot enough to feel hot in an active blizzard, but perfect nonetheless.
Unfortunately, parking near the cabin is not an option by there are spots close enough to comfortably make several trips.
This is a genuine cultural experience of which I cannot wait to do again.

The mountains and the sea shore are just nearby; one can stay in the camping and go to see the sightseeing around. The in-camp restaurant is a bit expensive.
