Top shrine, can be walked from the lower car park or take the bus. Keep healthy and walk the route. Pleasant mountain scenery. You can decide whether you want to enter the shrine, boots off affair, purified or get scolded for standing on the concrete or waving a camera at the entry. Mind was purified by the walk so didn't bother with the entry to the top shrine. The shrine itself isn't very photogenic (& you can't take photos you wouldn't want too, looked so mess), the torii is photogenic at the car park and the scenery...
Read moreLocated among Amazing natural beauty. this shrine is located about halfway to the yudosan summit. From the parking area the shrine is about 1.2 km. You can hike to the shrine or take a 300 yen bus to the shrine. From the main shrine busstop on the top it’s around 100 meter walk to the shrine so it’s convenient for older age visitors as well. The shrine entrance is 500 yen and you have to remove your shoes to enter. photography is forbidden in the shrine. It has a foot onsen at the end of the shrine...
