Stopped by here for a break from driving. It has clean toilets and a well maintained carpark. The beach view is beautiful and just sitting there and listening to the waves crash onto the beach is very relaxing.

古くは、 小浜を訪れる外国人観光客らによって栄え、 昭和５８年に、 ２１世紀に残したい「日本の自然百選」に選ばれ、 昭和６２年には「白砂青松百選」にも選ばれた歴史ある海岸です。 昔は遠浅で、 干潮になると２００mの沖合に州潟ができ、 浅蜊貝なども取れたそうですが、 自然の変化ですっかり変わって来たそうです。 海岸も一見綺麗な砂浜になっていますが、 砂の流出によって石が露出し危険という事で、 残念ながら現在海水浴場は閉鎖となっています。 数十年前までは、 国道の方にも駐車場がありいつも一杯で、 大型バスでも乗り付けていたらしく、 海水浴場横の車道は、 夏の期間は通行止めにしていたとのことです。

This review is for cycle tourists. Pretty good area tucked up on a wall out of the way. Water. No power. Toilets could do with a good scrub. Shops and coin...
