Gushikawa Beach — Attraction in Uruma

Quiet neighborhood beach. No amenities. The locals are proactive about trying to keep the beach clean washed up trash. The nearby power plant has warmed the waters so the seaweed and algae grows very thick here. When it’s extreme low tide, it doesn’t smell the greatest because of the dried seaweed. Great place to watch sunrise or east coast sunset or read a book. Not really a beach to spend the day...

The beach itself was covered in so much seaweed/algae that there wasn’t much of a beach to relax on. It also smelled badly of fish which ruined the mood for me. When I tried to find a spot further from the entrance but it was just covered it garbage...
