The Katsuren castle has many things to tell about Ryukyu kingdom and Okinnawa history and how it was built is really amazing, although it is ruined but it worth to visit.

城は、もうない。だが、石がある。風がある。視線の向こうに、海がある。陽に焼けた礎石が、草に埋もれながらも、なぜか「ここにいた」と言っている。だれが？建てた者、守った者、失った者、彼らの思いが、まだ地面に残っているようだった。大きな木の影。影の中に入ると、時間が少しだけ歪む。当時の風が吹いた気がした。来る前に、あまわりパークで見た映像が、ふと胸に戻る。「ずっと海を見ていた」その声の主も、ここで風を感じていたのかもしれない。風が吹くたび、草がざわめくたび、潮のにおいが、わずかに届いた。そこだけ、昔とつながっていた。

モリハナモリハナ

沖縄の世界遺産の一つです。素晴らしい城壁に圧倒されます。城跡下のチケット売り場前から、小さなEVcarで、城壁のすぐ下まで乗せていってもらえます。そこからは、階段で10分位で一番上まで上がれますが、雨上がり等は滑りやすいので、歩きやすい靴で行かれる事をお勧めします。

Great visit. The museum is worth visiting, and try to catch a live theatre performance, they have English subtitles for all signs throughout the museum, live performance and castle ruins. Great views from the top. Worth spending...
