a good destination but for the ones using car, for those who transport with public service, please consider about 3km of walk, heat, and long wait for the train. you could also go, it is a beautiful place to observe the sunset. but please check these things before you go: the timetable of the public transport going there (gg map) and the return too. also check the sunset time (using weather app) to make sure there is sunset.:). enjoy...

It's a mysterious and charming place that looks like a road leading to the sea. It is beautiful even in the clear blue sky, but it is also nice at dusk. Personally, I like how the road is gradually swallowed by the sea from low tide, so I check the time on the tide table and head for it. (The sight of utility poles lined up in the sea is in full bloom around 2 hours at high tide) This time, with special permission, I took a picture with a drone after sunset. There are quite a lot of cameramen and tourists at low tide sunset. Also, depending on the season, fishermen may be moved by light trucks, so be careful of the people around you when shooting. (Originally built in 1979 for fishermen engaged in seaweed farming and shellfish gathering in the Ariake Sea, where the tidal...

You will need to time your visit according to the tides.

At high tides, it is oddly amusing to see the electrical poles sticking out of the water.

At low tides, the perplexing view of a road that leads into the sea comes into view.

The road facilitates local fishermen in their work, so it is not possible to drive along it. Merely gazing is the reason for the lack of...

It's was cool and very pretty. The road was barely visible bc the tide was high at 5 pm...so it would have been better to see more of the road. But it's a nice short trip from Kumamoto station by bus. Would have been nicer if we had a car to stop for a little bit, then leave. The buses are irregular, and you sometimes have to wait.
