The flowers were not in bloom when I was there but it was still one of the nicest things to see when strolling around in the area. Best little hill by the sea with a shrine, lighthouse and view on a nearby island...

2022.6.4 海景と紫陽花のコラボが素敵です。花は8割から9割開花して、見頃を迎えていました。日当たりの悪い株が咲き切れてないのですか、道沿いはほぼ満開かと。 熊本市からだと国道を右折（右手50ﾒｰﾄﾙつ前に小さな看板）、細い道を進むと半島つけ根に公園の駐車場とトイレがあり、地元の方々が誘導してくれました。 海岸の道、山手側に白、紫色など様々な色の紫陽花が植っており、歩きながら鑑賞、目を楽しませてくれました。半島の先あたりに、住吉神社の鳥居⛩があり、この辺りが、海の風景と相まって一番の見所でしょう。ここから山道を結構歩いて、神社に参拝しました。1時間ほどの行程でした。この後ランチに寄った、JR三角線網田駅.駅舎内のカフェ「網田レトロ館」⭐️5も紫陽花をたのしめました。
