The Miho Dam Park was my first experience of visiting a large dam in my nearly 2 decades of living in Japan. From what I learned the damn is used after a heavy storm or typhoon, when there is a excess of rain water. It was still a beautiful day out with my family. Coming here for Sakura and Autumn Leaves viewing would be the best seasons to see everything...

Arrived at 4pm in Saturday, it’s nice park but no people there. There is vending machine but no shop there. The dam stoped water discharge at this time, so we cannot admire its beauty. It’s nice to visit if you...

23年10月7日に観光しました。 三保ダムの作りは、遮水壁を岩や石、砂利で斜面を作り支えて水をせき止めるダムで、個人的には初めて見るタイプで自然との調和を感じられるようなダムです。

ダム広場から見上げるダムは、斜面には植物の緑、剝き出しになった岩、洪水吐などコンクリートで出来た構造物で、自然と人工物のコントラストが美しく雄大で、見惚れてしまいます。

駐車場は無料ですが芝生や砂利を敷き詰めた歩道など整備が行き届いてゆっくり歩きながら雄大なダムを見上げる事ができます。※利用してませんがトイレはそうでもないみたいです。 丹沢湖に訪れた際には欠かせない観光スポットだと思います。
