Shigakogen Hasuike Ski Area — Attraction in Yamanouchi

A great-beginner-friendly ski station, the slopes are really smooth; even boring if you are looking for speed.

There are two slopes: on the left after the lift a really really smooth slope (even flat at some point), and a funnier (a bit steeper) slope on the right.

I wouldn't recommend the left slope for snowboard as you will have to walk a the flat spots of the slope.

The main drawback is the numerous ski school taking a lot of space. I guess sometimes it would be a bit difficult for beginners to avoid collisions.

志賀高原では存在感は薄いが普通に最高のスキー場なのでぜひ訪れてほしい。

どうしてもこちら方面に泊まる人以外は訪れないと思うが、ゲレンデは全然荒れなくて夕方でもピステンのラインが残ってるし、コースも適度に飛ばせてほんとに気持ちいい。他の志賀高原とはまた違った独特の感じも好きです。雪質も志賀高原では標高は高くはないですがジャイアントのベースよりは高いところにあり志賀高原自体の標高もあり全く不満なしです。
