ちょっと運動がてらの散歩には手頃な場所です。 いくつもの古墳が1カ所に集中した珍しい丘陵です。 国道9号から入ります。 駐車場から整備された階段を丘の上まで登り、古墳群や中海・島根半島を眺めながら一休み。順に古墳群を見て回った後、南側の小道を下って西側の道路を丘陵に沿って北上すれば出発点の駐車場です。所要時間約40分。軽い運動になりました。 残念なのは、説明板類が古くなり、一部割れて剥がれていたり風雪にさらされて薄くなって読めない箇所があったことです。 ということで、星4つとさせていただきました。

王陵の丘となっています。ちょっとキツイ階段を上がると中海が一望出来ます。下にはJRが走っているのも見えます。桜、芝桜を楽しむことができます。三脚立ててるヤツは迷惑。禁止して欲しい。
