Hiked up to the grove where 2,000 plum trees bloom each year in February into March. The grove is a famous plum-flower site that has been selected as one of the "100 places to enjoy flowers in Kanagawa." It’s the only forest of plum trees in the Miura Peninsula area.
The “Taura Plum Grove Festival” is held each year from the beginning of February until the beginning of March, attracting many visitors.
It’s best to take public transportation to the site but they do have one small parking lot that charges ¥1,000. After parking it’s still a 7 minute walk to the entrance.
