Shirasaki Observatory — Attraction in Yura

The Shirasaki Observatory offers one of the best panoramic views of the entire Shirasaki Marine Park. From the top, you can see the dazzling white limestone cliffs meeting the deep blue sea—a truly stunning contrast that makes this spot worth the climb. Great park to stop and visit. Absolutely amazing views of the cliff-side, rocks and the ocean. It's very windy so bring a jacket. Parking is free. They have bathrooms and what appears to be a seating/eating area inside (we didn't check, but they might have food). We went on the weekend close to midday and it wasn't overly crowded. We spent about 45 min there. Part of the park is wheelchair accessible, but there is a stairway to more views that obviously isn't accessible...

very beautiful place to visit in summer, very colorful location for pictures with its view. it took 1.52hours in the road to visit from wakayama-city area, but it was worth than the getting tired, the beauty will eliminate those. also the road side scene with the sea, was soo amazing. highly recommended to visit there around morning hours like 79AM. parking was free with necessary things....
