According to the biblical story, Lot's, his wife and his two daughters had to escape the burning of the cities. Lot's wife had to look back (inspite of God's warning not to look back) and was transformed into a pillar of salt. New road is being paved to allow tourist buses to get there. Read morePossibly it’s difficult to find this place easily, because surrounded by farms and a little far from a roadway. Apparently this place was a palace in huge ancient city. You would find numbers of pottery fragments and mysterious shaped stones(looks like melted by high temperature). That makes us think this place might be “Sodom” in biblical history.
