This is an archeological site dating back to 1700 BC, and it's believed to be called Sodom and gammora, the cities that god had burnt-out because the people were so sinful. According to the biblical story, Lot's, his wife and his two daughters had to escape the burning of the cities. Lot's wife had to look back (inspite of God's warning not to look back) and was transformed into a pillar of salt. New road is being paved to allow tourist buses to get there. Yes according to old Testament genesis 19, it tells the complete story of lots and his two daughters escaped the burning of sodom. ALSO, please refer to the famed Mosaic Map dating back to the second half of the six century for more details regarding this authentic location.

An interesting archaeological site with a lot of work done but unfortunately, no information is available. And God doesn't destroy cities, people do.

Die Grabungsstätte/Ruine ist oben auf derm Hügel. Auch wenn ein Weg nach oben führt besser das Auto unten an der Hauptstrasse parken.

Read "Discovering The City Of Sodom" by Dr Steven Collins & Dr Latayne C. Scott. I managed to get it on Kindle. This guy put in a massive amount of time, and that's why it's now on the map. All other guesses at where Sodom was located were in the wrong area. (When the first A-Bomb was detonated and after the fury of the explosion had died away, the desert floor became littered with a strange green glass. This material was named trinitite, after the Trinity site where the first bomb was detonated in the state of New Mexico in the USA.) Back to the book : When Steven Collins took the green glass he found at Sodom, to the lab in the USA, they told him it came from the Trinity Site. But it didn't! It came from Tall el-Hammam. (Sodom). Once you realise how hot the sand has to be to be turned to glass, (and how fast), you begin to realise that something super hot happened at Sodom. It happened just like the old book said! This is what really identifies the site. That's just something to get you started. It's...

Possibly it’s difficult to find this place easily, because surrounded by farms and a little far from a roadway. Apparently this place was a palace in huge ancient city. You would find numbers of pottery fragments and mysterious shaped stones(looks like melted by high temperature). That makes us think this place might be “Sodom” in biblical history. I supposed public should maintain this place...
