This site needs more tourists visiting. The museum is a quick walk through and they have findings from the site above. Remember, this is a very old site from the time of Lot. It's not huge, nor does it take a long time to visit. The climb up is steep, but the site welcomes you with a view to remember. A driver is available to take visitors up the mountain side if your vehicle is not equipped to do so, or you can walk.

It’s nice but not many artefacts. Although first time seen mummified Nabateen. They have one small manuscript from the Bible but they are not sure?

The Museum at the Lowest Place on Earth is an impressive museum located in Jordan, overlooking the beautiful Dead Sea. The museum features a variety of exhibits and interactive displays that tell the story of the historic and cultural significance of the region surrounding the Dead Sea.

Visitors to the museum can learn about the environmental challenges facing the area due to the steady depletion of the Dead Sea over time. The museum also showcases the rich cultural history of the Dead Sea region, which dates back thousands of years. There are various exhibits featuring archaeological artifacts such as pottery, weapons, and jewelry, as well as displays on the traditional lifestyles of the local people.

One standout feature of the museum is the hologram movie that illustrates the history of the Dead Sea and the various legends surrounding it. The museum also has an on-site café where visitors can relax and enjoy refreshments while they take in the exhibits.

Overall, the Museum at the Lowest Place on Earth is a fascinating and educational experience for anyone interested in history or the environment. It's a great option for families, groups, or solo travelers looking to learn more about the unique and beautiful...

First thing was only cash accepted for the 2 JD entry fee. Drove to town and found an ATM. Returned but they did not have change for the lowest bill I had (10 JD) so paid them that. Inside and outside the museum is not well managed nor cared for with a reversed description sign, an old tube TV “on display”(?)” incomplete renovations or maintenance, etc. The three staff seemed bored and more interested in their cellphones than guiding or assisting the only person in there (myself). Poor show. Displays themselves for the most part were interesting, except for the old TV. There was no indication why it was there on a dilapidated table. if you are in the area have correct change ready and don’t have high expectations. I would like to see this museum doing well. Probably needs a new manager who...

Jordan is my favourite place of all I visited in September 2018 2nd trip was hoping to get alot done in 6 days I stopped by at prophet Lots museum and cave .was abit tricky to get to the the cave make sure you are very fit as your breathing will be effected climbing up the hill paved path. Better to go in cooler weather. There is a church and cave up hill but everything seems to be getting work done on but no one is about , There are no guides so we just put up by reading the historical advice boards . Please make sure you carry enough hydration as it is a very long walk and go to the toilets at the museum before you go up hill. After this ask the assistant to guide you on route to prophet Lot's wife who apparently was punished and...
