This is an amazing historical site in Jordan! Not the same as Petra, but you feel like you are the first person to discover it:) The views from the top are stunning, and you can see the beauty of the surrounding landscape for miles. Walking around the site, you can feel the history in every stone. It's a peaceful and quiet place, perfect for exploring and taking great photos. The mix of nature and history makes it so special. If you love history, rock-cut architecture or just want a unique adventure, this is a must-visit in Jordan! The hike itself is manageable but it is better to drive down from the Visitor Centre to preserve energy although the road is narrow and stip. Read morePretty difficult to drive to, and to climb. You’ll need 2+ hours to hike in and back round trip. You’ll need extra water, shoes steering enough to prevent ankle rolls, sun protection, and a serious sense of judgment - loads of big, loose rock, steep inclines, clouds. Worth it!
Think “smaller Petra” but way more dangerous- response time for an accident will be hours or longer, especially if you’re alone.

No tourists, just us and the local people you can meet. It's possible to drive near the castle however it can be problematic for weaker cars. But it don't has to have 4x4.
