I was looking forward to traversing this canyon for quote some time but couldn't do it because of Covid restrictions on entering Oman. As soon as Oman reopened her borders, I decided to take my group of outdoor enthusiasts to the canyon.

We camped at the grounds of a local guide and in the morning after breakfast, our guide took us to the end of the canyon to park our cars. We returned in his cars to his house. The walk to the start of the canyon was around 15 mins long.

The canyon starts by a few hundred meters walk, after which you need to use ropes to go down. Make sure to use professionals who know what they are doing. You don't need any training to get down, but definitely need abseiling equipment and safety helmets.

Hence started our wonderful 6 hours adventure through this magical canyon which Included using ropes to go down some gorges 3 times, plenty of natural water pools, a beautiful cave, pool jumping and walking. This is unlike I have ever experienced in my life and all had the most amazing time. I wish I could give a dozen stars to this experience.

If you have the opportunity, go for it without thinking twice. You will have the best time and will cherish this experience for the rest of your lives.

Just a few words of caution. You can't be someone who has little to no experience of physical activities, this experience is not for children or pets, you need to be able to swim or else you will need to be provided with a life jacket, you will need to put your shades in the car as I have lost mine during this experience, make sure to carry a waterproof bag or else keep your electronics in the car.

Overall, there is nothing like this experience in the entire GCC.
