Tishi'S Farm — Attraction in Dabaso ward

What you see is what you get. The houses are built in the traditional way that is mud on the outside and makuti (sisal or palm leaves) on the rooftop. This is really well thought as it keeps the house cool even in the high temperatures of the Coastal region. The host is really nice and even offered complimentary breakfast on the first day. Breakfast was tasty and we got to enjoy food in the unique Coastal way as they have a way of putting spices and coconut into their meals. The swimming pool is good for a dip. It is cleaned and even though they were only two cottages occupied at that time, it was maintained everyday. Cleaning of the compound is done everyday so expect a clean place when you get there. They also have running water so that you can take a bath and use the washroom comfortably anytime.

It is located a few meters from the main road to which you can walk or take a bodaboda. Or better yet, the host can get you a cab.

Tishi's Farm, un “resort” dell’entroterra che, al posto della cernia oceanica, sceglie di offrire all’ospite un piatto di manioca e, al posto dell'aria condizionata, delle zanzariere distese sui letti e la finestra aperta. Il caldo della terra si sente anche di notte e questo ci dà la sensazione di far parte della natura, molto più che stando in una stanza guardando da una finestra chiusa, al fresco di un'aria estranea che ci avvolge nel confort: come stando a casa. ||Ma allora che ci siamo venuti a fare in Africa ?||Il resort è circondato da una recinzione di rete metallica, che si vede solo a tratti perchè è ampiamente ricoperta dalla vegetazione con fiori colorati su piante rigogliose: africane. Sembra di far parte del villaggio in cui siamo: si sente il chiocciare di qualche gallina, dei rumori indefinibili di qualcuno che sta lavorando a qualcosa, delle persone che parlano, molto distanti ma udibili, passa una ragazza che trasporta qualcosa sul capo, cantando a voce bassa qualcosa di molto tranquillo.||Qui si può avere l'impressione di stare in Africa, non di essere reclusi in un centro di accoglienza per turisti danarosi, protetti da solide murature ed in attesa di rimpatrio.||Se volete stare comodi ma fra persone splendide nella loro normalità, venite qui.||Io ci sono arrivato portato da John e da Said dell'agenzia "Mamasavana": ancora un...
