Great estate with vast coffee plantations and an interesting history. We were the only visitors this day and got a private tour of the estate, and a lecture in art of growing coffee the traditional way in Kenya. The production is based on original methods and is as far from a modern and industrialized plantation as one can imagine. The result is fantastic, as revealed in the coffee tasting. We persuaded an Uber driver to take us there and wait for us during the tour. It is quite far from Nairobi and outside the range of a regular Uber ride. The warm welcome with a cup of coffee and some sweets is followed by an explanation of the process of growing and transforming coffee cherries into a cup of coffee. Then you're guided into a walk in the garden and coffee plantation, with extensive explanations about the particularities of Kenyan coffee and the different qualities and calibres. The visit continues with a coffee tasting. Lunch is served in the house (built in 1928) and it's delicious. After lunch, a last visit to the coffee processing plant (totally hydraulic powered).

Edit based on below reply: As I said above, I came to BUY coffee. Not a tour Your opening times say open until 4. If someone arrives at 3:30 to buy some produce I would expect them to be able to BUY it.
