I absolutely recommend to visit this coffee farm to whoever likes good coffee. The warm welcome with a cup of coffee and some sweets is followed by an explanation of the process of growing and transforming coffee cherries into a cup of coffee. Then you're guided into a walk in the garden and coffee plantation, with extensive explanations about the particularities of Kenyan coffee and the different qualities and calibres. The visit continues with a coffee tasting. Lunch is served in the house (built in 1928) and it's delicious. After lunch, a last visit to the coffee processing plant (totally hydraulic powered). We loved the kindness of the staff and the quality of the tour overall.

I had an unexpected layover in Nairobi and my travel agent booked a tour here. Due to horrible traffic we were late, and they still accommodated us. The grounds are beautiful. I saw so many amazing birds (gray crowned cranes) on the road into the estate. The tour explained the coffee making process, a tour of the farm, and history and explanation of the current operations. I drink coffee every day and learned I knew so very little about the beloved drink. I also had the most amazing cup of coffee. This was a wonderful treat.

Awesome experience at Karunguru coffee farm. By mistake we make reservation for monday, when is normaly closed. But we were warmly welcomed by general manager and he arranged tour just for us. Our guide was kind and very educated barista Dennis. He educated us about coffee, show us all farm and the whole process from seed to cup of coffee. We also try roast coffee. We spent a wonderful time there. We learned everything about coffee and it was a lifetime experience for us, if you are coffee lover, you must visit this farm.

Great estate with vast coffee plantations and an interesting history. We were the only visitors this day and got a private tour of the estate, and a lecture in art of growing coffee the traditional way in Kenya. The production is based on original methods and is as far from a modern and industrialized plantation as one can imagine. The result is fantastic, as revealed in the coffee tasting. We persuaded an Uber driver to take us there and wait for us during the tour. It is quite far from Nairobi and outside the range of a regular Uber ride. This was very convenient, even if the guide said he could arrange a return ride also. We paid $15 each for the tour only, as they did not offer lunch that day. Highly...

Arrive at 3:30, closing time 4pm. After travelling 45 minutes to get here just to buy some coffee they say it's too late. Ridiculous

Edit based on below reply: As I said above, I came to BUY coffee. Not a tour Your opening times say open until 4. If someone arrives at 3:30 to buy some produce I would expect them to be able to BUY it.

Clearly your inability to read Google reviews is as bad as your opening times.

However for anyone interested I found an amazing supplier who gave me a quick tour of his coffee factory. If anyone is interested please head to Muhathi coffee Estate. Wonderful coffee, amazing owner and...
