This is a difficult review to write. The location is pretty convenient between Maili Saba and Lanet, roads are ok. The entrance is beautiful, lined with trees as you drive to the expansive grounds. There is a shower/ toilet block and plenty of space. But that’s it!!! No tents available, I came for lunch but told no food or drinks available “I should pre order”: I had to point out that nowhere is there a contact phone number to do this. I met with the owner and he explained he had been open 9 years!!! The place has plenty of potential, it’s perfect to camp if you have your own equipment and cooking facilities, oh and food too. It’s a large rural compound but no activities yet! ( some old metal swing and slide I’m not counting as they looked dangerous). But, as a quiet peaceful setting in lovely countryside just outside Nakuru it’s perfect. Im not sure about the other reviews here, I can’t see how they can award 4 or 5 stars!!! particularly as not even basic food or drinks were available. That sort of rating is for professional camp sites ( Fishermans Camp, Naivasha) where they have tents, dining areas, washing facilities, cycle hire, full restaurant and bar.

The campsite is about 30mins drive from Lake Nakuru NP's main gate, but is nice and quite surrounded by green and lots of birds. Facilities are more than OK (toilets, hot showers and outside kitchen + covered areas to hide from rain), and Simon and Judy are terrific hosts, very welcoming and helpful!
