Kanunga waterfalls is a picturesque natural attraction located in the Gatanga region of Muranga county in Kenya. This stunning waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and is a popular spot for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

The waterfall is fed by the melting snow and rain from Aberdare Ranges, resulting in a constant flow of cool and crystal-clear water. The water is so pure and clean that it is safe to drink directly from the waterfall, making it a refreshing stop for many hikers and travelers.

As the water cascades down the rocky formations, it creates a mesmerizing sight and a serene ambiance. The sound of the waterfalls can be heard from a distance, providing a soothing and calming experience for visitors.

Kanunga waterfalls is also a perfect spot for swimming and cooling off in the hot summer months. The pool at the base of the waterfall is large enough to accommodate several swimmers, and the water is shallow enough for children to safely swim in.

Aside from swimming, visitors can also engage in other activities such as cliff jumping and diving into the pool from the surrounding rocks. The more adventurous can hike up the rocky slopes to the top of the falls for a...

The views are great, the water is so clear and blue near the fall.We went as a group,we were assigned a guide who took as through a short hike through Ndakaini Dam but if you don’t want the hike you can just go to the fall direct. The most part of the hike has proper roads so you can bike if you want but it’s a bit steep as you go to the fall so it might be tricky to get down with it.The changing rooms are not proper, wear something you can easily change. The rocks inside the pool are slippery so be careful.I tripped a lot.The pool has a side that’s deep and another one that’s shallow very great for beginners. This may change depending on the season. They should provide proper bigger bin to avoid the littering. They were a few vendors who had eggs, samosa, and ice cream and another one selling swimsuits but I would advice you carry some snacks and water...

As a nature lover this place is breathtaking, from the views to the rocks and the surrounding environment. We got there and paid for a guide who took us down to the waterfall. I was told people can hike as well though we just went to see the waterfall amd swim. I'll say please avoid swimming if you're not a swimmer. The rocks are really slippery avoid if you're clumsy you might trip. Generally it's a great place for group activities. One thing the management can work on is providing changing rooms. A business person can invest on a restaurant to provide...

**"Kanunga Falls is a breathtaking spot that’s worth every visit! The hike down was an adventure, leading to a stunning waterfall surrounded by pure natural beauty. The atmosphere was vibrant, with people swimming, relaxing, and just enjoying the moment. The water was super cold but refreshing, making the swim even more thrilling. The place had a mini beach vibe, with young men in swim shorts and ladies in bikinis adding to the lively scene. Whether you're looking for adventure, relaxation, or just a fun hangout spot, this place has it all. Definitely coming back!
