Buxton Tunnel, Limuru — Attraction in Ngecha Tigoni ward

Terrible. Thought of visiting tge tunnel today from Benedictine retreat house Tigoni as i hav never been these sides. Went all alone for tranquillity. After entering 10 meters or so, two men appeared from the bushes 40 meters behind me and made to move towards me. Thanks be to God coz he gave me courage to run despite the darkness inside. I run all through n climbed the sloppy land to the road and a quick boda was sent by God. Am still panting in shock. The rider told me l was lucky. Insecurity is quiet high. God's Love...

I’m unsure if I’m glad or not I didn’t read the reviews on here before I visited. I see the tunnel once held a reputation for insecurity. I visited by myself, and approaching from the Limuru side I found two friendly private security guards close to the tunnel, so it felt safe to me. I didn’t walk through it, 50 metres was enough for me because It does feel incredibly haunted, so perhaps a group visit is best.
