We plan a lunch trip to Tafaria and called on the way to make sure they were serving lunch. They took our name and provided it to the gate so we didn’t have to pay a fee. We just had to get our ticket validated at the restaurant. The road to the castle is a bit rough, beautiful grounds and the food was just ok. It definitely is a nice place to take the kids. We arrived at 9am and it had delicious breakfast ready for us along with some activities to do, given a ride in a carousel to tour the place before starting activities, It had very informational statues that told us about our ancestry, Lunch was very good, Swimming was fun and their museum was child friendly and very interesting, it has very useful historical information about kenya and its currency even back in the 1900!
