Foreigners watch out!! To be ripped off. We went there with two local friends. We asked for the price for a boat for snorkelling. Many price they offer but finally we took a guy 4000 shillings (1600B) that supposed to go out for snorkelling for 3 hours. There is not much things to see under water (2nd spots) further out in the sea has some common fish.. finally almost 1 hour( not even 3 Kms) drive. They send us back(time up) I was surprised, my friend said it was misunderstanding. Arriving at the beach, a guy who talked to us while we getting on the boat, gave my friend a coconut... We paid for the boat and supposed to walk further along the beach. The first guy came, saying we have to pay for his floating rings(300 shillings) we thought someone from the boat send it on boat for us.. nobody used it yet... Finally we didn't want to discuss.. we walk further a second guy came telling a Coconut is 1000 shillings ( my friend confused saying 1000 as we bought 1000 shillings Tanzanian (20x in Kenya shillings) we was angry they tried to rip off us.. so bad experience...
