My visit to Crescent Island was one of the most magical experiences I’ve ever had, and having Kevin as our guide elevated it to an entirely new level. If you’re looking for a serene, immersive, and educational nature experience, this is the place to go!
From the moment we met Kevin, his enthusiasm and warmth set a wonderful tone for the walk. He has an incredible depth of knowledge about the island’s wildlife and environment, and his storytelling made everything come alive. He didn’t just show us the animals—he helped us understand them, sharing fascinating details about their behaviors, habitats, and how they thrive on the island.
Walking among the animals on Crescent Island felt surreal. There’s something deeply humbling about standing a few feet away from a grazing giraffe or quietly observing zebras and wildebeests in their natural habitat. Kevin’s keen eye ensured we spotted animals we might have otherwise missed, and his calm demeanor helped us feel at ease as we walked among them.
The island’s scenery is absolutely stunning. The combination of rolling grasslands, scattered acacia trees, and the shimmering Lake Naivasha as a backdrop created views that were nothing short of postcard-perfect. Kevin knew all the best spots for panoramic photos and encouraged us to take our time to soak in the beauty around us.
One thing that truly stood out was Kevin’s passion for conservation. He spoke passionately about the importance of protecting the island’s delicate ecosystem and shared how we can all play a part in preserving nature for future generations. It was inspiring to learn from someone who clearly cares so deeply about the environment.
Kevin’s sense of humor and easygoing personality also made the walk even more enjoyable. He was attentive to the group, ensuring everyone felt included, comfortable, and safe throughout the experience. His ability to connect with people while staying focused on the wildlife and surroundings is a rare talent.
This wasn’t just a nature walk—it was a journey into the heart of the wild, guided by someone who truly loves what he does. Crescent Island is a gem, and Kevin is the perfect guide to help you discover its magic.
If you’re planning to visit Crescent Island, don’t hesitate. And if you get Kevin as your guide, count yourself lucky—you’re in for an unforgettable experience. This is a must-do activity in Lake Naivasha and one I’ll be recommending to...
Read moreCrescent Island is such a beautiful place , if you dream of being in the animal natural habitat. I really did enjoy the tour, being up close with giraffe, zebra , Hippo ,the gazelle was really nice . It's was easy to get there via boat which charges 3k . The tour guide was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the island . If you are in Naivasha make a point of visiting there. There is entry fee different for foreigners and for locals .
If you plan to visit there consider a guide since is usually optional . Also wear closed comfortable shoes since it's a long walk. Also carry a cap. If you plan to visit with children the biggest threat are the male ostrich that occasionally will chase visitor,so confirm if they are out there, I experienced this and it was a horrible experience ,we had to run for our lives despite the fact we had our guide with us . I hope the management has already caged the male ostrich.
All in all if you are in Naivasha it's a great place to visit, it's very memorable, strongly recommend. Not so many place like...
Read moreHow is it amazing to take a trip on a boat to an Island to see various wild animals and wonder how they made it to that island. Cresent island is truly an animal sanctuary since there are no predator such as the lion who prey on gazelles and impalas. So the animals keep procreating and die of sickness of being too old. I was so surprised to see wild beast on an island and still remains fascinating to me. There are Giraffes and zebras. Have you been to an animal park where you can walk around animals and even take selfies with them? Cause this is truly the kind of park where you are in close proximity with animals without being constrained by the car you use for safaris. It's truly a great walk in nature and the best weeken gateway. I would definitely comment on the toilet in the bush very nature friendly and so African at the same time surprisingly clean. Charges vary at the entrance of the island for citizens, residents and tourists so it's wise to carry your...
