I had an amazing time at the Bio-Ken Snake Farm in Watamu! This place is a must-visit for anyone interested in wildlife, conservation, or simply learning something new. The farm is home to over 300 snakes from more than 20 species, and the tour was both fun and highly informative.

Our tour guide, Reuben, was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about snakes and their conservation. He took the time to debunk some common local myths about snakes, which was eye-opening.

What really stood out to me were the farm’s conservation efforts and their work in educating locals about the importance of coexisting with snakes. They’re also doing incredible work in anti-venom development, with a dedicated research lab on-site. It’s inspiring to see their future plans to produce antivenom locally, which will be a game-changer for the community.

Overall, this was a great experience that combined education, conservation, and fun. Highly recommend it to anyone...

An absolutely amazing experience! The museum is beautiful, well organized, and full of incredible snakes – a truly impressive collection where you can admire fascinating and rare species up close. We also joined the Snake Safari with three members of the staff, and it was simply outstanding: wonderful people, extremely kind, caring, and always ready to answer every question with passion.

The safari itself was thrilling, educational, and fun at the same time, giving us unforgettable memories. We even purchased a snake, knowing that everything we paid directly supports their foundation, which works on research and the production of antivenoms – an incredibly important mission for the health and safety of local communities.

A place where science, nature, and humanity come together. Highly recommended to anyone...

A really good place to see Snakes of East Africa and learn about their behaviour, habitats and help with identification. If you go there before 11am Mon to Fri you can watch them being milked for their venom a really fascinating thing to see. This venom will be processed and made into antivenom which can save lives. They also rescue Snakes and relocate them safely away from humans. You get a passionate guide in the entrance fee who will answer all your questions. A great few hours spent indeed. Opening hours Mon to Fri 11.00 to 12.30 and 14.00 to 1630 All this for 1000ks per person and you money will go to saving...

A really good place to visit and learn about snakes and see them being milked for their venom to make life saving antivenom. The staff are brilliant and will answer all your questions. They have all the most venomous snakes of east Africa and also the non venomous one too its a real education. All this for 1000ks including a very passionate guide and this fee also goes toward the collection and production of antivenom which with your help could save so many peoples lives. Opening times are 10.00 to 11.30 and 14.00 to 16.30 Milking is done at 11.00 Mon to Fri so don't miss it
