Dong Hua Sao is a beautiful and peaceful national park not far from Pakse, with lush evergreen forests, waterfalls, and quiet hiking trails. It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers, birdwatchers, or anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy the slower side of Laos.
I was especially impressed by the variety of landscapes—from jungle paths to hilltop views. Some trails can be steep but manageable, and it’s worth it for the views and wildlife encounters. I spotted birds, butterflies, and even heard gibbons in the distance.
