The Rock Viewpoint is a must-visit for adrenaline seekers and nature lovers alike. This program offers a variety of thrilling activities, including ziplining, a spider net bridge, and a via ferrata course. The views from the park are also breathtaking, making it a perfect place to relax and take in the natural beauty of Laos. Highlights: Ziplining: Soar through the Limestone mountain tops and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Spider net bridge: Test your balance and agility on a unique bridge made entirely of rope netting. Via ferrata: Challenge yourself on a challenging climbing route equipped with safety cables and equipment. Scenic views: Enjoy panoramic vistas of the limestone forests and valleys, especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset.
I recommend to stay at least a day so that you can enjoy 4-hr Ziplining course. I stay here for 2D1N and would like to spend more time to enjoy the nature.
Equipment is in good shape. Staff is professional and they will provide you with the short brief on how to use equipment before starting the course.
Love to come back here again...
Read moreI strongly recommend booking a full day activity. 2 hours will be great if you don’t have time at all, but I encourage you to reschedule the trip somehow then and find the opportunity to spend there 6-7 hours. It’s an absolute highlight of my Lao trip, A LOT of zip lines, rock climbing, canyoning, hiking in the jungle. And there’s nobody else but you in the limestone forest, so it’s an incredible feeling.
I had two guides who were checking me out all the time, all things we did we did in an order: a guide, then me, then another guide. As a result, the experience seemed quite safe (I mean, it’s not like safe safe, you climbing sharp rocks, but still)
Some tips: Full day activity starts at 8:30 / 9:00 only, so it’s better to book in advance I think. Probably if it’s a high season, you can come in the morning and find out that the group is already full. But also, if it’s not a high season and you’re the only one person in a group, be ready to pay twice, as the tour starts from 2 people. I had to had 180$ instead of 90$, as I was the only one person, but I’d say it was still...
Read moreFantastic experience! Absolutely worth the effort getting there.
Little bit of technical information for those who want to drive here: the road from Vientiane is very difficult, some parts of the road are new, but in a lot of places it's in a very rough condition, absolutely not doable by a sedan. You need to be very careful and experienced with rough road conditions. The way from the centre of Vientiane takes around 5.5 hours and if you plan to do ziplining, you need to arrive at the The Rock Viewpoint not later than 4 p.m. the road from Thakhek side is much better, for the most part it's newly constructed surface. There a few bad parts but overall it's much easier than the way from Vientiane. It takes around 2-2.5 hours to the Lao-Thai border (Friendship bridge 3) both zip line and the restaurant accept credit cards with 3% surcharge there is no age restriction for zip lining, only height - 120 cm and weight under 120 kg. It was super fun for an 8 years old, pretty easy with the help...
