Ķirzaciņa, Baldones sēravots — Attraction in Baldone

The main highlight here is basically the sulfuric spring, which is then surrouned with a nice little park and around that are the sadly dilapidated remains of the sanatorium.

The spring has that specific old egg smell and lgends of healing properties. Also a warning that coliform bacteria have been found in it. For what it's worth I drank from it and did not suffer in any way.

It's neat, but not really something you would go out of your way to visit, hence...

Beautiful park, nice to sit down and relax. If you visit Baldone it's definitely worth a visit. Also located in this park is a famous fountain with healthy spring water. Try a sip of this and notice the odd egg taste. You might think this is rotten but it turns out it taste like that because of all the healthy benefits it has. Also there is a parkour you can walk with bare feet, the idea of this is to experience the different senses...
