Carnikavas pludmale — Attraction in Carnikavas pagasts

It is a very pleasant walk, renovated only this year 2018. The journey to the beach through the forest is around 3 km, but it is wonderful. You can also cycle and have morning runs around this area. The beach is relatively clean and sand is white. There are toilets, but they are closed during cold seasons. It is not busy, so if you like to relax it is a perfect spot. A random fact if on the beach you go towards Garciems (to the left), you might stumble upon a nudist beach. I haven't been, but was told to be aware as not everyone is ready for such a view. There aren't any shops around the area in winter, so I would recomend bringing some tea with you (in autumn and winter), otherwise you might be lucky to see small ice cream shops pass by on the...

It's an amazing place any time of the year! The scenery is beautiful and forest nearby is like a bonus point. We visited this outstanding beach in October when it was quite windy and raining...so no bathing that time. Still we had an amazing walk and enjoyed the sea.
