it's different every single time you're visiting, which I find thrilling. the sea anyway is constantly changing and so is the coastline here. we were lucky with the sun out and shining, the day was marvelous and so was the sensation. at some point the area flooded with folks from around the corner and afar on whatever vehicles they would - bicycles, cars, motorcycles of every kind. a novelty is a small café on the far right side when entering the parking lot serving some food and snacks we did not bother trying, yet the coffee they served...

It's a wonderful summer house in a barrel in a remote location on Kolkas rags. The barrel is small but the bed is very comfortable, there are seats inside and stools to bring out and make fire in the evening. The amenities are in the tourist information center. You can also get hot water there. Through a huge window you can see peaceful waves, sun rises and sets and at night you can watch far lights from ferries and boats. If you enjoy a peaceful stay in the vicinity of the sea and you are not picky about convenience - it's a wonderful...

Miejsce ciekawe w czasie niespokojnego morza (wysokich fal). To wszystko. Sam koniec cypla zawalany gruzem budowlanym pełniącym prawdopodobnie rolę falochronu - trąci to trochę czasami sowieckimi. Reasumując: miejsce niewątpliwie atrakcyjne przyrodniczo, zwłaszcza w sprzyjających okolicznościach (wiatr, burza, sztorm) jednak ze szczątkową infrastrukturą turystyczną i...

▶️ Domesnäs was an important landmark on the great Scandinavian shipping route east to Russia via the Düna River (Latvian Daugava). It was mentioned in writing already the year 1000. The Mervalla Stone in Sweden tells a story of a Viking voyage to Semigallia and Domesnäs.

We stayed in Kolka for a few days in August and absolutely loved it. The walks were peaceful and relaxing, with the fallen trees along the shoreline adding to the natural beauty. Best of all, you can watch both the sunrise and the sunset—such a special experience.
